A step-by-step guide to deploying your Toilet Bung to stop sewage & flood water backflow.
Step 1: Start by gently pushing your deflated bung into the toilet, beneath the water & into the U-bend, at the bottom of the toilet.
Step 2: Take the hose, which is attached to the top of your bung/rubber bag, & sit under the toilet seat to the side.
Step 3: Connect the valve of your hand pump, to the valve of your bung.
You can now pump up your toilet bung. Pump it until it is fully inflated & firm to the touch.
Pump similar to a bike tyre, careful not to overinflate. At the maximum inflation, you're sealed area will be severely restricted, reducing the maximum allowable back pressure.
Step 4: Thoroughly wash your hands with soapy water.
Once your Toilet Bung is safe to removed, you can deflate your bag by applying pressure to the pin on your hose valve. Simply push your finger or thumb on the pin.
Remove the bag & clean with a mild detergent (no harsh chemicals). Thoroughly clean your hands.
Allow to dry & safely store away.
