• A self-adhesive foam tape, with a tape covering over the adhesive side to maintain 'stickiness'.

• 8m Length, used in combination with kerb edge roofing trims to provide a water-tight seal when compressed at least 30%.

The self-adhesive foam tape is stuck to the base of the edge trim (also known as the underside of the 'P Section'.

Starting at one end of the kerb trim, allowing 5mm extra, peel of the protective tape and stick the tape to the base of the trim (the section to 'sit' on the EPDM).

Do not stretch the tape, & smoothly push into place as you go. Cut off any excess, leaving 5mm extra on any joints.

Ideally, the tape should be slightly more towards the outside of the base trim - ensuring it sits on the of the deck/EPDM.

  • Does the tape have a top and bottom side?
Yes, there is a sticky side with a film to be peeled off. This side sticks to your Kerb trim, & is the 'top' side.
  • Can I have a join in the tape?
Yes, but the 2 separate pieces together tightly to create the seal. Then, when it's compressed at least 30%, it will provide the necessary seal. To stop shrinkage, don't stretch the tape during application to the kerb.
  • Do I use tape on kerb corners and joins?
No you don't. When you have 2 kerbs to be joined, leave a small amount of excess tape to be housed within the joint. Your kerb corners will be held in place with Bond & Seal, or Pin/Fastening through a pilot hole. They house 'on top' of the kerb, which already has the tape under.
  • Where should be the tape be fitted?
The tape needs to be positioned on the underside of the kerb trim, which will position onto the deck. If possible, place the tape slightly towards the outer edge of the underside, to ensure it sits on the EPDM & decking.

We strongly advise being present for delivery to inspect your products & sign delivery notes. Additionally, not all courier service trucks have tail lifts, or pallet trolleys. Please be prepared with the necessary person(s) to take delivery of your items, necessary for the size of the order. Depending on the size of items ordered, they may be heavy - use proper lifting technique, we cannot be held liable for any personal injury resulting from the delivery or use of the ordered items.

Notes on the delivery of Elevate EPDM:

If you order EPDM with your items, the rubber will be delivered rolled up for ease of transport. As a result there may be some fold creases and wrinkles - this is normal. To remedy this, the EPDM should be laid to rest, or settle, for a minimum of 1 hour. In colder temperatures, the light use of a heat gun (not a naked flame) can be used to settle the rubber. Don't overheat or touch directly.

Starting your project:

We advise not booking in or arranging an installation team to begin works before the goods have been delivered & inspected. Delays or order mistakes are rare, but can happen. We can't be liable for any costs as a result from delayed or incorrect delivery or items.
