• A 4m long by 100mm diameter gutter brush, which helps to stop the clogging gutters & subsequently the downpipes and drains.

• Manufactured from polypropylene brush filaments spun around a stainless-steel wire spine, which allows the brush to mould slightly to the profile of the gutter.

• Durable, fast and easy to fit.

• Requires little or no maintenance due to the accumulation of dirt in the bottom of the gutter, being be broken down by the action of aerobic bacteria and beneficial fungi. This biological decomposition and the passage of rainwater will become a self-cleaning process.

Take significant care when working at height or from ladders & use appropriate safe access. If not comfortable working at height, contact a reputable local tradesperson to carry the works out.

• Ensure the gutter is clear initially, free from leaves, moss build up and other debris.

• Place the gutter brush into the gutter, it will mould slightly to the profile of your gutter. The brush can run directly over the gutter drain pipe feed, as this will protect this entry also.

• If the gutter run is shy of 4m, you will need metal snips to cut to size. If the gutter run has a corner, you can bend the brush to continue along your roof line.

• If you need to join two pieces of gutter brush, simply create hooks at the end of the brushes on the centre wire spine, and hook together.

• In cases when your gutter brush can't fit fully into the gutter (tile may restrict), or in very windy areas, cable ties should be used as extra support, wrapping behind & around the gutter & over the gutter brush. 3 per run should suffice.

• Your brush should not need maintenance for several years as it blocks large objects, & smaller objects percolate down into the brush and will also break down.

  • How do I join two pieces of gutter brush?
The gutter brush is fixed to a central wire. At the end of the wire, there is space to twist it around the end of the next piece, joining the two. It is also advisable to used zip ties where appropriate, including to stop the gutter brush being dislodged in windy areas.
  • Do I need to clean out the gutter brush for maintenance?
Maintenance should only be required after several years, as the brush blocks larger objects, & after a short while, the accumulation of dirt in the bottom of the gutter will be broken down by the action of aerobic bacteria and beneficial fungi. This biological decomposition and the passage of rainwater will become a self-cleaning process.

Notes on the delivery of Elevate EPDM:

If you order EPDM with your items, the rubber will be delivered rolled up for ease of transport. As a result there may be some fold creases and wrinkles - this is normal. To remedy this, the EPDM should be laid to rest, or settle, for a minimum of 1 hour. In colder temperatures, the light use of a heat gun (not a naked flame) can be used to settle the rubber. Don't overheat or touch directly.

Starting your project:

We advise not booking in or arranging an installation team to begin works before the goods have been delivered & inspected. Delays or order mistakes are rare, but can happen. We can't be liable for any costs as a result from delayed or incorrect delivery or items.
